Factory of Kooh sefid Semnan-lmt
Welcome to Koohsefid Website. Gypsum is a very soft mineral composed of calcium sulfate dihydrate, with the chemical formula CaSO4•2H2O.[3] Gypsum is generally found underground near deposits of limestone or other minerals formed by evaporation. One of the most common forms of raw gypsum is a pure white crystal called alabaster. Another form of unprocessed gypsum forms in desert terrain and its crystals resemble the petals of a flower. The most common use for gypsum is the formation of drywall panels. Drywall is a common building material typically made of a layer of gypsum plaster pressed between two thick sheets of paper, then kiln dried. Drywall is used globally for the finish construction of interior walls and ceilings. Gypsum is naturally resistant to fire and heat, which helps it form a barrier between combustible wooden frames and the room itself. Gypsum drywall boards can also be cut to size without elaborate tools, making an ideal building material. Iran is one of those countries which has large mines to in order to produce commercial quantities of gypsum. Semnan is located in northern Iran. Semnan is situated at 1,138 meters above sea level at the southern foot of the Alborz Mountains. Koohsefid factory is located in 20 kilometers far from Semnan and it is close to one of the richest industrial mine which has high quality ray gypsum.
